1985
ITW GmbH is founded as an institute of the Wedel University of Applied Sciences.
1991
ITW develops a text-based information system for the cinemas of UFA Film- und Theater AG.
1993
In a project lasting several months, the Welec industrial control system for discontinuous automatic scales is developed.
1996
The next generation of the information system for UFA Film- und Theater AG is graphics-capable.
1999
ITW launches the Welec BT industrial control system for loss-in-weight feeders

2001
ITW GmbH changes its company name to tematik Technische Informatik GmbH. Dipl.-Ing. Jörg Völker takes over the management of the company. The Servonaut brand for modelling products is registered. With the K30T multifunction module, tematik presents the first drive controller with lighting system and on-board computer for truck modelling.
2002
The range is expanded to include trailer and semi-trailer electronics. With the F30, a special controller for truck trials is launched on the market for the first time.
2003
The SMT sound module from Servonaut and a new range of compact speed controllers are added to the programme. tematik is a first-time exhibitor at Intermodellbau in Dortmund.
2004
A series of smaller modules, such as the MM4 and ML4 lighting systems, round off the product range. Servonaut delivers its 1,000th module at the end of the year.
2006
Sales figures increase significantly with the SMX sound module and the S20 speed controller. tematik exhibits at the model building fairs in Sinsheim, Dortmund, Friedrichshafen and Bremen.
2008
With the Zwo4 model radio, Servonaut presents an upgrade for the most popular console transmitters on 2.4 GHz.
2009
The 10,000th module with the Servonaut logo is delivered. The readers of Truck-Modell vote the Zwo4 model radio the product of the year in the accessories category.
2010
The GmbH celebrates its 25th anniversary in January. The K40 is presented as the successor to the K30T - the module that started it all in 2001. A special truck motor and a range of geared motors are added to the programme. New receivers are added to the Zwo4 system. Production exceeds 5,000 assemblies per year for the first time.
2011
In September, tematik celebrates its modelling anniversary - the Servonaut brand has been in existence for 10 years. Article about the anniversary in the Trucks&Details (PDF)
2012
The 25,000th electronic module is delivered. Servonaut gradually takes over the production and distribution of Wendscher modelling articles, starting with the Sandmaster 370.
2013
Our own SMD assembly production with solder paste printer and pick-and-place machine is put into operation. To ensure the highest quality of solutions, tematik invests in a vapour phase reflow soldering system from Asscon. In January, the development of a Servonaut Zwo4 transmitter begins after a long period of preparatory work.
2014
Further products undergo a redesign and are optimised for in-house production. With the SM3 and SM7, two new sound modules are launched on the market. The GMK4000 large dump truck is the first complete model from Servonaut - developed by Wendscher Modellbau.
2015
The readers of Truck-Modell vote the GMK4000 large dump truck as Product of the Year in the Trucks category. At the Czech model building fair Model Hobby, the HS12 transmitter is honoured by an expert jury as one of the winners in the "Product of the Year" category.
2016
The 60,000th electronic assembly is delivered. Internal assembly production is further expanded with a larger cutting and engraving laser and a second automatic pick-and-place machine. The readers of Truck-Modell vote the SMB sound module into second place in the Trucks/Accessories category.
2017
Headlights and rear lights from our own production round off the range. The readers of Truck-Modell voted the M24 speed controller into first place in the accessories category.
2018
The readers of Truck-Modell confirm that we have the best service quality of all suppliers in truck modelling. The Zwo4 model radio system has been on offer for 10 years and is being continued with an extended transmitter and new receivers.
2019
The readers of Truck-Modell award us the Truckmodell-Star in three categories: Service, product quality and innovative strength. The G22 is the first speed controller on the market that replicates the driving behaviour of an automatic four-speed transmission.
2020
For the third time in a row, the readers of Truck-Modell award us the Truck Model Star in the Service category and for the second time for product quality. The G22 speed controller is voted the best technical accessory.
2021
The coronavirus crisis is joined by a chip crisis. Delivery times for semiconductors become a major problem, speculators drive prices to astronomical heights in some cases. We have to invest all our energy in purchasing and redesigns. We were able to increase our stocks significantly just in time. But there are also positive things to report: For the fourth time, our service and, for the third time in a row, our quality have impressed the readers of Truck-Modell.
2022
No easing on the components market, delivery times of up to a year and more remain an organisational challenge. Nevertheless, with the MQ10 and MQX, two new controllers are launched on the market, as well as the lighting boards for the new Scania 770S. What a series: first place in service for the fifth time and first place in quality for the fourth time!
2023
VTH Awards: Another first place for product quality in truck modelling, for the fifth year in a row. First place for innovation and service in ship modelling. With the SMU, a sound module is launched especially for Unimogs. A series of new developments are planned and prepared.
2024
Assembly no. 135000 is delivered. The RM12 receiver and the LA6 lighting system as well as new lighting boards are presented at the Intermodellbau in Dortmund. We win six first places in the modelling awards, including once again for the best technical accessory in truck modelling. The increasing number of product counterfeits of our sound modules from China is a cause for concern.
